Houstoun Clinch, DVM, Owner
If I am not at the hospital, then I am with Andrea, her son Dayton and my daughter Abby. We have a cat named Kit and a dog named Vinnie. We enjoy sailing on our boat out on Lake Superior. If we are not at home then we are out exploring the great outdoors, biking, boating, skiing or just enjoying life.
Ericka Funfsinn, DVM
Dr. Funfsinn grew up in northern Illinois and currently lives in Lake Elmo with her husband, 3 kids, 2 dogs, 4 cats, 4 chickens, eclectus parrot and fish. After receiving her Bachelor degree from Michigan State University in 2008, she moved to Boston and began her veterinary career as an anesthesia technician at a large referral hospital. It was there that she discovered her passion for the profession. She graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota in 2016. She spent her first year practicing emergency medicine in the south metro and then joined a general practice in that area for the next 5 years. She is excited to now be part of the TLC family and to be serving the community she lives in!
Dr. Funfsinn enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and the variety that each day brings. She especially loves being able to help create long lasting relationships with pets and their owners. Her other interests include feline medicine, emergency medicine, end of life/geriatric care, and surgery.
Sonja Helgeson, DVM
I am a Twin Cities native from Andover, MN, and I now live in Roseville with my husband Eric and our pets – a Bichon, Axel, and a tuxedo cat, Lucy.
I obtained my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota in 2020. Outside of work, I can be found bird watching, hiking, skiing, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends. I also play in a handbell choir with my husband, and we enjoy going to local music and theater shows.
Natalie Oestreich, DVM
I am a Minnesota native from Eagan. I attended the University of Wisconsin - River Falls for my bachelors degree and then the University of Minnesota for veterinary school graduating in 2022. According to my dad, I have wanted to be a veterinarian since I was two years old and begged him to donate money to the dying polar bears after seeing a commercial on TV. My fiance and I have two dogs - Maggie and Sherman, who enjoy going hiking and exploring with us. My favorite part about veterinary medicine is creating a bond with each individual patient (and client - because the humans matter too) for the life of the pet. My goal is to manage your pet's wellness while making sure that you also maintain your strong human-animal bond. I look forward to meeting many of your current and future fur babies!
Morgan, Certified Veterinary Technician
I'm from Oakdale, MN. I graduated and was certified in 2020. I have 3 dogs (Guinness, Fireball and Kona) and 5 ferrets (Kazi, Luna, Orion, Papi and Storm). I enjoy going to the dog park with my dogs, fishing, reading and playing video games.
Mia, Veterinary Assistant
I have always had a love for ALL animals since I was little; that's when I knew I wanted to make a career out of it. I have two cat's (Bebe and Tibbs) and a bearded dragon (Reptar). I enjoy being in nature and adventuring outdoors. My interests include art, music, animals and being with my family. I brought my animals here before I started working here, so I was familiar and comfortable with the hospital. When I found out they were hiring, I knew this would be a great fit for me!

I have been a veterinary technician for over 15 years and I love working with animals and their humans. I am excited to be part of the TLC Veterinary Hospital team. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two young boys and our bichon Ruby. We enjoy watching the boys ice skate, play hockey, t-ball and soccer. In the summer we enjoy spending time with family and friends, especially swimming and boating at the cabin. Hopefully there will be more animals in our family soon.

A lifelong love of animals is what led me to want to join the TLC family! I am originally from the Twin Cities area but now reside on a hobby farm in western Wisconsin with my fiancé and our three dogs Hal, Kodiak and Indigo. I enjoy hiking and swimming with our dogs, teaching them new tricks, gardening, and being active. We are hoping to welcome some barnyard animals into our pastures very soon!
Paula, Customer Service Representative
TLC Veterinary Hospital was already my extended family, as I'm involved in a local dog rescue, and it just became fitting to actually join the team in May 2018. Helping animals and their families in any way is my passion. Outside of work, I foster dogs with the help of my husband and my son. We also have 3 rescue bulldogs and 1 uromastyx lizard. I love to travel, watch scary shows and talk about dogs all day long!
Tashina, Customer Service Representative
I have over 10 years of experience in customer service, and have had pets big to small, and furry to scaly. I moved to St. Paul from South Dakota in 2018 and went for this opportunity to combine my customer service skills with my passion for animals, and couldn't be happier. My partner Anton and I live in St. Paul with our two dogs (Hudson and Riley) and our two cats (BMO and Neptr). We have a full house and enjoy hiking, house plants, and spending quality time with our family and friends.
